HOUSE OF PUGS

I call our house the house of pugs. We have 2.
The black one is Sir Cubby the Black Knight, that is his registered name, we call him "Cubby".
It will be his birthday on Saturday, November 1st. He will be four years old. Happy Birthday Cubby.
The fawn one is Sum Ting Wong Little Bear, that is his registered name, we call him "Bear". He is five years old. They are the best of friends.

89 days and counting

We are going on the Panama Canal Cruise in January. We will be sailing on the Coral Princess. It is our Chirstmas, Birthday, Graduation and Senior Trip all together. I am sure we will have a great time. I can't believe that it is only 89 days away. My friend Linda and her husband Dan are also going on the cruise. It will be fun to have another girl to do girl things with. It is 14 days going from Los Angeles, CA to Fort Lauderdale, FL. There are 4 ports that we stop at, what an adventure it should be. Especially since foreign countries are not required to make things accessible. Well I guess we will find out either how accessible things are or not.

My Mom's Birthday

On Sunday October 12th it would have been my mom's 86th birthday. 21 years ago a week before her birthday she passed away. When she passed away I had just found out that I was pregnant with Marc and have always felt bad that I didn't get to tell her. We always used to tease her about being born on the "traditional" Columbus day. We would ask her if she was born in 1492 the day Columbus sailed the ocean blue. She was a great mom and grandma. If you mom is still with you enjoy every moment and every time together. My time with my mom was short I was only 31 when she died.

Patience

The definition of Patience (ˈpā-shənz) is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances. This can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties.

Can you lose patience as you get older? I used to be a lot more patient. I want to appolgize for not being as patient as I used to be. I will try to find that patience that I had when I was younger.

Happiness

Happiness is not a station you arrive at,

It is a manner of travel.

Field Trip

Ryan had a field trip on Tuesday September 30th. His aide at school Ryan had been sick on Monday so we were not sure if he would be there on Tuesday. I told Ryan go to school and if your aide does not show up at his regular time of 7:15 a.m. call and your dad can go with you. Well 7:15 a.m. came and I thought great he has shown up. But no at 7:16 a.m. I get a call from the school and the aide is not there and Ryan needs to go to meet the bus to go on the field trip. I quickly woke up his dad (he works nights) and said you need to go with Ryan. His dad got it together in record time. Drives his truck over to school (not wheelchair accessible). Again I think great his off on his field trip. About five minutes later another call "Can you bring over the van, the bus that was sent to transport the kids was not a wheelchair bus". I jump in the van drive over to school, Lyman and Ryan are off. I drive home. What a morning!!! This is all before 8:00 a.m. The field trip was a career fair, a tour of a Boeing plant and a tour of a computerized manufacturing facility.
